Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to join the Human Resources team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Coordinator is responsible for providing HR support to the Marc Jacobs corporate population. This position will be a partner and driver for the People Lifecyle moments which include Employee Engagement, Onboarding, Recruitment, Internal Communication, and HR Administration. The ideal candidate will understand Marc Jacobs’ business, be proactive and support managers and employees (including temporary employees and consultants) throughout all lifecycle events.

The compensation for this position ranges from $31-$33 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication:
- Facilitate effective internal communications by drafting and distributing company-wide announcements, policy updates, and other HR-related information.
- Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries, directing employees to appropriate resources when necessary.
- Support the development and dissemination of content for employee communication channels.
- Provide Human Resources policy guidance and interpretation with the business.
- Lead the onboarding process by conducting new hire orientation for corporate new hires, managing associated paperwork, and conducting check-in meetings.
- Continue to upgrade the onboarding program with an eye on Employer Branding.
- Facilitate the offboarding processes, including exit interviews, final paperwork, and coordination with relevant departments.
- Collaborate on ad-hoc projects with specialized HR functions (e.g., talent acquisition, learning and development, etc..) to enhance the impact of HR initiatives.
- Act as the primary contact for all HR administrative aspects across all organizational levels.
- Maintain organizational charts, HR trackers, etc and ensure they are always up to date which will result in better KPI metric tracking and employee data collection.
- Consistently review, interpret, and recommend process and/or program improvements, based on analytics and data insights, as well as employee feedback.
- Assist in the full recruitment lifecycle for employees (Temporary, Consultants, and Full Time) including creating associated paperwork and screening resumes
- Coordinate background checks and reference checks.
- Prepare offer letters and new hire documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all temporary employment regulations.
- Organize and execute company events, celebrations, and team-building activities on a monthly basis.
- Facilitate key HR programs including but not limited to onboarding, performance management, engagement, and retention on a regular basis
- Support development and maintenance of internal programs focused on workforce retention, recognition and engagement.
- 1-3 years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Passion for People.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent time management and follow-through skills.
- Maturity and discretion to handle confidential matters.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player and proactive personality.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
- Strong Human Resources sensibility and critical thinking.
- Must be available to work onsite in the office multiple days per week.
- Advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
