Overview:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Temp - Allocation Planner to join the Buying, Planning, and Allocation team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. Marc Jacobs International is part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) fashion division and operates in the wholesale and direct to consumer retail markets.

Within the Buying, Planning, and Allocation team, the Allocation Planner will be responsible for the replenishment of our Retail Stores as well as store initial allocation at the launch of each season. In addition, they will action inventory allocation and release for Marc Jacobs Wholesale partners and our Retail Network.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Store allocation and replenishment from DC to stores daily
  • Determine initial allocation and replenishment quantities to maintain necessary inventory levels and enhance service levels for stores
  • Propose increases and decreases to in-store inventory thresholds to upper management weekly and monthly
  • Work on region specific inventory and sales reporting to be used in global decisions
  • Evaluate sales daily and to react to trends to shift inventory to increase sales, service level and sell through
  • Work closely with Buying team to understand priorities and market specific needs
  • Report on product in DC dates and delays from factory prior to launch of each season to ensure on time launch
  • Action inventory allocation and release for Wholesale and Retail
  • Analyze daily allocations against incoming supply in order to strategically release pick tickets and optimize workflow to warehouse
  • Review and react to any orders that can not be released to the warehouse due to credit issues, order holds, short ship windows
  • Provide sales operations teams with any necessary information needed to complete weekly shipping forecast
  • Complete all retail order entry and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience in related field
  • Must be able to work unsupervised (minimum 50% time allocation)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail math
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Organized and able to multi-task

SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER: 
The compensation for this position ranges from $28- $32 (hourly). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
