OVERVIEW
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks an IT Project Manager to join the Information Technology team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters.
Reporting to the Head of Information Systems, the Project Manager will have direct responsibility of planning and managing some major transformation projects enabled by the IT department. The project manager will endorse also a role related to the IT project portfolio for cross—functional organization and the related communication. The next major initiatives include: a new OMS (Order Management System) implementation, a Clienteling tool roll out, a mobile point of sale solution, some supply chain enhancements etc.

SALARY & BENEFITS
The compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 - $125,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. Marc Jacobs uses the published salary range as a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward all levels of expertise, performance, and tenure.

RESPONSIBILITIES
IS Projects Management:
- Projects: Directly manage some major IT projects
- Framework: Ensure good project management practices and improve the processes when needed.
- Portfolio: Track and share the project portfolio for a good execution.
- Projects approval gateway: Adopt and adapt the process for review and approval of new projects requests.
- IS Team resource planning: work with the business analysts to properly estimate, plan and optimize the use of IT resources (internal team as well as consulting resources).
- Daily, act as a liaison with business units to communicate on project implementation progress, issues and risks, manage scope evolutions, support and maintain trust in project deployment, especially during go-live and post go-live phases.
- Own Projects status meetings and executive dashboards.
- Plan and host regular steering committees with the business units and with senior management
- Own projects Capital and Operational investments, projected ROI, track expenses vs. budget and act appropriately to maintain projects on budget.
- Own the Program and projects schedule, quality / risk management and change management elements
- Minimum of three to five years as a Project Manager. Experience in international projects preferred.
- Working knowledge of Project Portfolio Management best practices and supporting tools.
- Certified Project Management Professional (Information Systems Project Management Certificate) is not required but preferred.
- Working knowledge of fundamental business processes for a Fashion / Retail organization preferred.
- Proven experience in developing relationships and collaborating with cross-functional business leaders.
- Experience working with outside third-parties to provide outsource services as well as assist with large-scale IT projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills;
- Team player that motivates, mentors, and educates other team members in a performance-based culture.
