Senior Financial Analyst
OVERVIEW:
Marc Jacobs International, powered by the creative genius of Marc Jacobs, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team based in its New York City (SoHo) headquarters. This role will work closely with finance leadership, accounting, and various business partners both in the US and in regional offices worldwide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Finance and Accounting in preparing all reporting packages according to the standard and deadlines of LVMH group and the Brand Management
- Collaborate with US, Europe, Japan, APAC regions to review and challenge budget submissions and monthly close through comprehensive P&L analysis
- Analyze actuals vs. budget / forecasts; identify key risks and opportunities for senior management
- Prepare monthly global financial packages for internal business
- Monitor and analyze store network and door-level P&L
- Collaborate with business partners to understand strategic initiatives, present expense request proposals (CAPEX and OPEX) to Global CFO, analyzing project ROI and impact to business
- Develop value-added cross-divisional and cross-functional partnerships to maintain awareness of business activities, and leverage knowledge and best practices
- Assist FP&A team with preparation of Budget Presentations in Powerpoint with focus on accuracy and storytelling through graphs and charts
- Prepare special projects and ad hoc analysis as required. Perform data extraction and creation of customized reports for management to meet changing needs of the business.
- 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Analysis or Accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
- Ability to build and manage department operating expense budgets
- Ability to explain variances to Budgets and LY
- Comfortable with basic accounting concepts and general ledger analysis and systems
- Comfortable with P&L management and construction
- Advanced excel skills and financial modeling tools
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholder
- Personable, team oriented and capable of developing strong working relationship with business partners
SALARY & BENEFITS/WHAT WE OFFER:
The compensation for this position ranges from $85,000-$100,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
